Study Abroad Opportunity to Buenos Aires, Argentina

Submitted by Julian Barr on

The Department of Geography is excited to announce a study abroad opportunity that is being co-sponsored by the Geography Department though the CHID department. It is a full summer term program to Buenos Aires, Argentina and focuses on the political landscapes of the city. The program is being run by Mónica Farías, PhD alum of the department and Elizabeth Shoffner, a current PhD student in the department. There is financial aid availability and there is no language requirement. The program is 15 credits and some or all might also count toward your geography credits. For questions about how credits would count toward the degree please see Julian or James in advising.

The application is now open and is due January 31st.

Here is some more information on this opportunity and how to apply: https://chid.washington.edu/study-abroad/2018/summer/political-landscap…

Please feel free to contact Elizabeth (esho@uw.edu) or the CHID department with any questions (chidint@uw.edu).

If you are interested in study abroad but not Buenos Aires, we encourage you to look at CHID’s other study abroad program as well: https://chid.washington.edu/study-abroad
