Dr. Cai emigrated from China to the U.S. at the age of eight, an experience that sparked his lifelong curiosity about the world. He has worked in Seattle and Los Angeles as well as internationally in Beijing. Being mutilingual, he speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese fluently. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington, a master's and Ph.D. from UCLA.
