Siyu Cai

I have been working in Education for over ten years. After receiving my Ph.D. from UCLA, I worked internationally in Beijing, China as an education consultant and career coach mentoring college-aged students. I helped students and families navigate the complexities of career choices and position themselves as strong candidates for lucrative industry positions.

I have also worked as a Lecturer at UCLA and Minzu University of China, the leading institution training China’s 130+ million ethnic minorities. Courses I’ve taught include Geography, Globalization, and Area Studies.

I grew up in Seattle and I fell in love with the University of Washington as a fifth grader watching the Husky football team in my living room. My career goal is to apply my academic training and global industry experience to uplift the UW community, serving as a bridge between academia and real-world applications.
