Relational Poverty Network: Public Meeting, Oct.10

Please join us for the Relational Poverty Network Meeting on October 10th at the University of Washington.  the RPN brings together scholars, activists, community members, policy makers and students to address poverty and inequality.  Poverty and inequality are durable challenges around the world and our network seeks new ideas and approaches to enliven and expand poverty research and action.  Please attend our opening plenary session which begins at 9:00am in HUB 25- on the UW Campus.  This is a special opportunity to hear economic justice scholar-activists Frances Fox Piven, Distinguished Professor of Political Science at CUNY and Tim Harris, Founding Director of Real Change.  In the afternoon, students, researchers, and community members are welcome in a series of discussions, lightning research talks, and paper sessions (program at: http://depts.washington.edu/relpov/annual-meetings).  Participants are invited to a reception at the University of Washington's Waterfront Activities Center to close the day.  Students, faculty, researchers, activists and community members are all welcome at this event -- if you are interested in challenging poverty and inequality through ideas, dialogue and action, please register to attend and join us on the 10th.  For additional information about the Relational Poverty Network, visit http://depts.washington.edu/relpov
