UW Geography Ph.D. grad receives teaching award from another UW

Professor Young

Stephen Young, 2010 Ph.D. recipient and advisee of Matt Sparke, was granted the 2017 Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching Award from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Young, an assistant professor of Geography and International Studies since 2011, teaches courses for the international learning community (ILC), a residential program that works with international students to develop their language skills and enhance global awareness.
