Spencer Cohen

Spencer Cohen is principal and founder of High Peak Strategy LLC, a Seattle-based research and economics consulting firm. He specializes in U.S.-China relations, international trade policy, and regional economics. Dr. Cohen is a frequent public speaker and has written opinion pieces in the South China Morning Post, The Daily Guardian (India), Puget Sound Business Journal, and Seattle Business Magazine. His doctoral research examined China’s economic growth model through the prism of land leasehold markets, local government finance, and state enterprise restructuring in urban China. He is a member and 2021-2023 Public Intellectuals Program fellow of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations.
